BETTER BUSINESS WEEK

Better Business Week is a week long series, annual tradition, occurring in the month of March. This series was developed around the Dyson motto of "Our Business is A Better World." As the Dyson Undergraduate Council, we felt all students should have the opportunity to be exposed to the countless different career paths one can take while still making a lasting impact on the world. From environmental sustainability to social and corporate governance, there are so many ways to make a better world through business. We aim to give all students the opportunity to learn and explore fields through an esteemed alumni keynote speaker, knowledgeable student and alumni panels, as well as an experienced faculty roundtable.

Dean's Distinguished Lecture

Each year, in partnership with the Dean of The Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, a keynote speaker will present about their work in social impact.

Alumni Panel

The Alumni Panel segment of Better Business Week allows students to hear from successful Cornell alumni that have focused their careers around social good.

Student Panel

The Better Business Week Student Panel gives students the opportunity to learn from their peers that are entrepreneurs in the social impact sphere.

Grand Challenges Pitch Competition

The Grand Challenges Pitch Competition is an annual spring event in which teams share their work and explain how prize money could support the impactful goals of their project partner.

Faculty Roundtable

The Faculty Roundtable is an opportunity for involved students to have one-on-one conversations with esteemed Dyson faculty. This event is invite only.
